Thread: New manager?

  1. #21
So who is this ‘best man’ we seek ?
It doesn’t matter who the Board appoint they’ll be slaughtered by the posters who wanted somebody else.
Whoever gets the job there are no guarantees. Every managerial appointment is a risk.
How many managers do a decent job with one club and fail at the next.

Some will slaughter any appointment and any weakness be glad to come on here and other sites. Good point old shedboy there needs to be a fit to the club.

Is our club so rotten there isnt a good fit? Martin has his critics and is accused of being a puppet. His blind faith in Csaba is perplexing but this one is critical. There is no way we can get worse. (lol - thats a death kiss that).

I wanted Stuart McCall he has gone. Alternatives Hopkin and Wright would play sh!t football - reckon fans would moan. I believe Hopkin may be available again soon though. More I think of it the more i think Owen Coyle should be considered. He has much to prove.

    Any better thoughts?

I just hope we all have a bit of patience and give the new man a pre-season before judging.

How about Neilson with Barry Robson as assistant, saw that suggested elsewhere

I'm all for Neilson, ideal candidate in so many ways imo

As long as the next manager plays with a central pairing upfront. Must play at least one winger, Aird, preferably as he can beat a man and put a cross in. Ditch defensive midfielders, they offer bugger all, going by the amount of goals conceded are more likely playing for the opposition, the amount of good they do for United. Play a right-back at right-back. Rakovan needs dropping, seems he drops, flaps and punches but canny catch. Robson needs a run in the reserves.
