    Copied from Oddsox thread

    Bookies so far
    Neilson
    Mcintyre
    Ellis
    Wright
    Hughes
    McCall (Jobbie)
    Sturrock

No sure where Paul Sturrock fits in, maybe the bookies know something we don't.

All are flawed or risky in their own way, very difficult

Of the top 2 there it's Neilson seems to be the guy edging it on this forum

Let's say he turned it down would you back McIntrye? Ex player jinx maybe, plus the rumours Offshore posted on another thread.

    Would it?

What proof do we have that he would make a good manager?

What do you mean by so called misunderstanding?

Aside that, i would be willing to give Laurie a chance as he seemed to have a good relationship with the players last season, and i dont think that would be too much different now. Is one year on enough for him to change his mind and take on the poisoned chalice?

Any time i question if Shabba should have stayed or not, i get this memory of a picture taken of the bench during an evening game away at Livi, with Ellis looking at Shabba, and he has the look of "what kind of fluxing idiot are you?" Hopefully that nightmare image can now fade away!

It doesn’t matter who the Board appoint they’ll be slaughtered by the posters who wanted somebody else.
Whoever gets the job there are no guarantees. Every managerial appointment is a risk.
How many managers do a decent job with one club and fail at the next.
Exactly the reason why I agreed with the folk who wanted stability at the club. Unfortunately Saturday's result made Lazlo's job untenable but this managerial merry-go-round is only doing more damage to the club.

As Wright won't come to us then my choice is McIntyre and Dodds.

I would also employ Cathro in some capacity as the likes of Gould and Armstrong sang his praises as being a important influence in their careers.

    Cathro is at Wolves bud.

Out of the names listed above Neilson would be my choice. We have the players to play his style of football.

Scott McDonald also talking up our current vacancy. On about how we have a great squad, are still within touching distance of the top and there’s a opportunity to get a feel good factor back and push on the premiership.

A bit of positive publicity might help attract some other candidates, maybe his former gaffer Strachan? Thoughts?
