Those lads couldn’t wait to leave because of the riches offered to them by much bigger clubs, nothing to do with our club being bereft of helping them to achieve goals, or do you think the likes of Armstrong, Robertson, Gauld would still be playing at Tannadice? United cannot hope to hold onto any talented players, no club the size of ours can, not unless something akin to a reverse of Bosman comes along and we can tie them up on long contracts, we just need to savour the likes of the mentioned players when they are with us.
