Firstly : Martin has proved himself to be all wind and piss about American investment ....time to make a statement Mikey!!

Secondly : He accused Thomson of not listening to him when he was his 'assistant' but he did the same when it came to appointing the Hungarian Halfwit...not listening to the many concerns.....what a major f'up - we now have built the halfwits squad for 2 years and hope somebody can use some of the parts in the box of junk they have inherited.
That somebody needs to be found now.

Auto promotion is impossible I would say, and by the week the playoffs look a remoter possibility... the new boss will be stabilising before he can even think about challenging.
What an almighty clusterf*ck of a club we are : I fear we will be here at the end of NEXT season talking about rebuilding a new squad to challenge, that how bad it is!

See you next Saturday Mike.....get your fat finger oot!

The decision to keep Csaba on after last season was a calamity waiting to happen - obvious to almost everyone except the board.

The board are now knee deep in mud, sinking in the marsh and way out of their depth - in Dundee they might be big fish in a small pond, but they lack the skill and experience to sort this mess out.

If they do appoint the right manager, it will probably be more by luck than anything as they have went from bad to worse with all their appointments.

Also, the players should not be allowed to hide behind anyone - each set of players brought in over the past several years have now cost 4 managers their jobs . By most accounts, Csaba seems to have been a good, decent person ( obviously not the correct fit for United ) - but he gave a lot a lot of players a chance and it cost him his job.

I can't see us appointing anyone in time to actually be in dugout for Patrick.

    Worth remembering Houstie's first game.

Maybe the players have to have a meeting like the one Webster organised back then.

    Get their **** together.

Stop comparing, Webster isn't responsible for the resrlt of that season or the next few seasons under Houston, everything was in place from Levein, we had a couple poor results and a squad meeting which maybe refocused everyone

We haven't had a good manager or a leader for years now, it's not a comparison

This nonsense about not having a manager in place for Partick away is a joke really

Martin could prove to be worse than ST in a very short space of time, ST was actually a very good chairman for years before it went wrong. So far he MM has caused the current scenario and now we are a week gone with no sign of a new manager with the best candidate potentially ending up at a smaller rival due to his procrastination

At what point was ST a good chairman? When his mum and sister allegedly didnt let him make the big decisions on his own? When Peter mentioned the 5 year plan? When he sold the crown jewels?

On the face of it, MM has sorted out some of the background workings, but needs to do more. He now has to get his 3rd big managerial decision 100% correct, or its goodbye from a large number of the support!

Just pointing out that it's entirely possible that things could turn for Ellis.

    We shall see.

MM and the board are entirely responsible for the management issues. They should have been sourcing a new manager for the last 2-3 months ready for an immediate appointment. The outcome was always going to be a parting of ways and the job of the board is to be ready.

    Culpable but not punishable.
