I will give credit where it is due. Stead is playing very well, and thoroughly deserves all the plaudits is currently getting. But a lot of credit as to go to HK who has also got Allesandra playing much better than he did under the other big boot merchant manager...

To be fair, he does actually look more like a Kevin.

Oh yes! I was thinking Stevenage was 0 - 0!

Kristian Dennis has scored goals wherever he's been and will come good, provided we give him the chance. At the moment, Stead and Hemmings have the shirts and deserve to keep them, but when Dennis gets restored to the team we need to give him a decent run. It's no good throwing him in for a game and a half and then making him a sub again if he doesn't bag a goal. Strikers need to feel secure in the team (at least for a spell) to relax and play to their best. Chopping and changing them in and out just hinders their progress. We've invested a good deal of money in Dennis, so we need to back that instinct, based on his career record, and treat him as a main man.

Yes, but where has he been? Mossley, Curzon Ashton, Stockport, Macclesfield. He scored a lot last season at Chesterfield but only 8 in 35 League Two games the year before. I think Hemmings is a far better value buy for us because of his all round contribution. There's no point in having a poacher who never scores.

Wasn’t he in league 1 the year before?
I hope Dennis plays his part this season as Stead certainly can’t maintain that level all season.
Although I can’t see how Dennis would suit this system. I can’t see him as a lone striker, nor could I see him as one of the supporting 3.
