    Lecko's goal from last night

All 3 goals were excellent. Burke a dribble (Sjoke defenders effort at a tackle was a joke) and a great finish, Harper a tap in after a great build up and Leko an acrobatic finish after more great passing play. I just can't see either Leko or Burke fit into the present formation as it demands wing backs who are willing to do their share of defending.
    Shame.

I think you are right 9goals but that will hold them back wherever they go in the modern game unless they can develop those skills. Both though could be very good impact players for the last 20 minutes or so.

I thought Burke looked really good in the first 2 goals and James Morrison showed he is still the best player we have for picking defence splitting passes.

Great to see we have so many offensive players in and around the squad now, especially as we are playing in a way where they should have chances to be offensive if they get on the park. Long season with mostly 2 games a week so I suspect they both will have their chances.

Pity the defenders didn’t look as impressive though!

There's always been potential. It did look more spectacular than it was though, not the cleanest of hits. I am sure some of these lads might make the grade one day just a matter of time.

I've probably been out of the loop but has both he and Sam Fields gone of the boil from last season?
They had good runs last year...and very little about them this year..
    Why?

Who knows? but we do forget sometimes that these are kids, and still growing up. Leko got himself sent off shortly after the goal too. Lots to consider.
