The second referendum stuff should be simple. I don't think polls are currently showing enough support for remain to justify a second referendum, but if at any point it starts looking like support for the alternative is significant, we should obviously have another referendum.

I don't think that we should've had the initial one until support for leave was pushing 60% in the polls either, for what it's worth.

Of course I get it and fully understand - but do you think that if Leave had won with 65% of the vote but we remained in the EU, that wouldn't continually be brought up, with constant demands for another referendum?

My point is that if Leave had got 65%, do you think that they would say 'Well that's the will of the nation'? I wouldn't blame them going for a second referendum to try to get over the line.

It would be totally unworkable in practice.
