    Neil Redfearn

Newcastle United have appointed Neil Redfearn to their under 23 coaching team,
to help Ben Dawson & Steve Harper oversee the young players.

I know there are a few late starters in football, Paul Warne being one of them, but I find having an U23 team a bit ridiculous. If you've not made the grade by the age of 23, or at least not involved with 1st team duties, then a different career might be a better option.
    Good luck to NR though.

Don't think Redfearn was quite as bad as Stubbsy for us. Warney is far better though. Somebody needs to tell Stubbsy to do summat else...owt but football managing.

To be fair to Redders, at least he was a nice, humble, bloke. He was, unfortunately, out of his depth with us being his first managerial post. In the end I felt sorry for him. Stubbs was just a prize prat who damaged RUFC more than any manager since The Doc.

    Good luck to Redfearn.
