Keatings had a run out for Hamilton Reserves today.

Short drive though. Good for him.

My biggest concern about Shabba training methods was it being non contact in this league training should be MMA style to combat some of the hammer throwers we face

I don't know that it's necessarily a complaint about there being to much training, more the methods that were used. All of these guys will have been at a few clubs prior to playing for United but they are particularly critical of the training methods employed by Csaba, stating that it left you physically and mentally drained for the game at the weekend.

As I say, I've never played for a club at any level so I've never been involved in training on a weekly basis, let alone daily basis. Well, not since under 13's anyway. So I wouldn't know what this is all about, but if these ex-players are to be believed then I feel those training methods need to be wiped away. I just wondered how long it is likely to take to change the training regime and hopefully see the benefits on the park at the weekend.

There’s no doubt about the players having to be fresh for a game. It sounds like Csaba ran them ragged both physically and mentally, they were probably all knackered by match day. I hope R.N. finds a balance where they are fit, rested and motivated.

Read his interview--"Driving up alone was horrendous". Horrendous?? Jesus wept. Must be hard getting paid to do something most can only dream about eh? I don't think some players have a clue about the real world to be honest. Imagine him commuting to a job on the tube for an hour to work 9:00 to 18:00 then commute back again getting home at 19:00 or later. Or working on a building site for 8 hours in the freezing cold. Plum!

    Spot on

Mental health or not, I don't like him and thought he was absolutely shyte for us, nor did he have the right character to play for us, especially where we are striving to get to, Si Murray was ten times the player for us
