Only Lincoln above us in the five-game form table.

Just goes to show that the start isn't a good indicator of success. How many of those would you have back?

I would not have thought that Fullerton or Kiwomya would have been so high. Cotterill I guess would be up there.

Curle not doing so well at Northampton, 2 points out of 6.

Probably 2. Curle wasn't bad and was a little hard done by although the home performances were a bit naff. And call me insane but I'd like to see what Moniz could do without Branston's interference

I agree about Curle, and we had our best away record in years under him. We all know and it’s well documented his stubborn refusal to change the home tactics and in my view giving Showumni the No.9 shirt from Lee Hughes were his downfall.

An interesting point there about the great coated one. I did like him and his “schtreets” attitude to football and his “ if they score three we will score four mentality” we’re good traits. It was certainly intesting and I remember one home game where our passing was sublime, I think it was Doncaster? However there was the horrors such as Salford City in the cup that are scarred in the memory. As you say without Branston could things have been different?

Has anyone got comparable stats for Sirrel, Warnock and Allardyce? I have a feeling that Big Sam would be at or near the bottom of that list. Didn’t we go about 20 games under his management before there was a League win?

Jimmy Sirrel, if I remember correctly, had wins in his first two league games.
