    O/T Tyne Bridge

    Opened 90 years ago today.

    Massive source of pride if you're from or associated with the area...not just an national icon but an international one. We had some teachers over from Brazil and they wanted to see it because they had heard about it before they even knew they were coming over here.

    Every time I came home from college I could feel myself relaxing as I came over the Tyne Bridge or saw it from the train window.
