As I’ve already said I’ve been impressed with Dean Smith management style/play & his ability to unearth unknown gems he’s done a good job at Brentford & previously did very well at Walsall
Everyone connected to AVFC must now give these 3 new appointments time, patience & our full support,if the gods smile on us & we achieve our goal this season it would be a huge bonus imo
Especially after the disappointment of the play off final & the ensuing economic fall out that followed

On another note my punt at the famous 14 (without google assistance lol)
    Rimmer
    Swain
    Evans
    Mcnaught
    Gibson
    Williams
    Bremner
    Mortimer
    Cowans
    Shaw
    Withe
    Morley
    Geddis
    Deacy (RIP)

Aa a statement of intent it tells me that we are going to be methodical in the approach to running this club, whilst financial backing will be there its not going to be thrown about randomly at whichever player/manager/coach/etc is this weeks big deal (henry). Despite the media coming up with a list of ever more fanciful names (Dwight yorke) my guess is this has been the only negotiation that the club has been involved in during this week. Talks with Smith, and his club, Terry, and Jesus, done without anyone having a scooby takes time and planning. Well done the owners, whether the appointment will be right only time can tell, but what we have, in no particular order is, championship knowledge, a born leader, our club in their DNA, good European contacts, proven winning track records, no previous baggage. By the way, Bongo, no surprise you knowing nowt eh??

Yorke would've been an interesting gamble
