The game at York, when we won promotion..A great day out all round ..We ended up in a pub at Wethetby and he kept it open till we all went home pissed as farts.. Those were the days..
P.S. My favourite game is Rummikub..
Have you got a match that sticks in the memory for whatever reason?
I am not talking about the big important games here (like the play-off final) but a game that is probably not well remembered by most.
One of mine is the fourth division home game against Northampton in March 1987 (our Orient season).
We were really struggling and Northampton were running away with the league.
It was one of those special nights under the floodlights and the Longside was in fine voice.
The lads really turned in a brilliant performance and unexpectedly we won 2-1.
Alas, it didn't continue and we lost our next four, saving ourselves from oblivion by winning the final game of the season (The Orient Match).
But for some reason I have very vivid recollections about the Northampton match.

Nothing has ever come close to the feeling I had when we won at Maine Road on 2 May 1960 ---I have watched a lot of football since then, including being at Wembley on 30 July 1966, however, that match at Maine Road will always be my favourite for giving me a real 'feel good' feeling.
Scrabble.
But I have just come back from Spain and now it is all in German on my phone.Totally baffled.
I'd just got divorced (again)! Four of us went to Torquay for the play-off game, I met this lovely lass from Exeter, three went home, I stayed a month in Devon. Torquay won the match but I honestly did not give a shoite!
There are loads of games but how about beating Leeds 4-1 at Elland Road in March 1974 when they were walking the league. All the sweeter being a Yorkshireman.
Aye Alf - very pleasing.
But the most important thing that happened that day was the cowardly way that Hunter effectively ended Caspers career. I think Frank was irreplaceable - he made the whole team tick and I think it was the beginning of the end of our big dreams when he was finished.
I am not a violent bloke and don't usually hold grudges, but I'll certainly make an exception with Hunter and his dreadful boss Revie.
A decent bloke like Brian Clough never had a prayer in a den of iniquity like Elland Road.
