Indeed it would Sub, and maybe I was being just a little bit sarcy in my previous comments lol.
I knew this was about footy games, and not video games of course.

Speaking of Burnsley games, do you all remember Sir Kevin Lynch the referee, and one particular game at Oakwell in 1995... ?!!.

acido --no problem as far as I am concerned because others have also mentioned games outside of what used to be the beautiful game! As I said, it is each one to his own and if you enjoy your video games then good on you!

I remember the infamous performance of Lynch on that day in 1995 --how could a Clarets fan forget?
Did the headed goal actually crossed the line? He gave it, in spite of his lino, who was on the spot, not indicating that it was a goal. He also sent Gary Parkinson off for allegedly raising his hands towards one of your players and also gave another booking which resulted in a second yellow to Paul Stewart (?) for arguing --so we ended up with 9 men.

I love watching football at Barnsley and I often go if I am visiting my son in Sheffield and not going to a Burnley game.

Looking forward to Super League Grand Final tomorrow though!!

Well Sub matey (and yes that means Im really interested in this thread now lol), we never think we get a decent ref in our games, especially now that we're down in the doldrums of the Third Division. But that one night in '95, I think we're honest enough to say Mr Lynch may well have wore our shirt that night, as he reffed like our '12th man'.
Gary Parkinson was indeed sent off for raising his hands towards one of our players, and yes I think the former Tottenham player Paul Stewart was sent off for running his mouth too much. And NO, that goal did not cross the line, I know that and I think most of us Burnsley fans will admit that.
Your lot went down that season, and we almost made the promotion play offs. But look at whats happened since eh, and how our teams fortunes have changed. Its what makes English footy always enjoyable isnt it.
