Funnily enough Stoke that crossed my mind on Friday after watching that drivel regards who is best placed to take the job on.....and as you say I do think CL is more experienced now and definitely more ready to take us forward. But as you say without any connection to the gruesome twosome he wont be as lucky as McLeish has been to get another opportunity where this time he sadly looks clueless and well out his depth.

I really cant think of anyone of note who would want this job outwith Scotland.....

Re Souttar sad to see what we could have had with more patience as fans, decent management and a chairman who had a clue. A young lad pretty much thrown in as a scapegoat when we had more experienced useless players failing to do their jobs properly.
Blossomed under CL with Berra beside him....good management imo and prob less pressure on him in a decent team.

He's right in what he's saying though. There are plenty of 'Scots' who are happy to see us get beat. Mostly Huns with a hatred of the SFA but there are plenty who revel in Scotland getting pumped.

I genuinely think Alex McLeish is ill.

Something definetly up with McLeish. Struggling for words. Looks gaunt. A complete shadow of what he used to be. He needs to go. He's a beaten man.

I said that to my mate when we gave him the job. He wasn't having any of it. But I was saying he sounds like he may have dementia. I'm being serious here. You got to wonder if he's on top of things mentally. I have a lot of time and respect for McLeish. Largely due to our duels in the '80s.

I hope he's gonna be ok. But maybe he should call it a day now and get a thorough check up from the docs.

That’s a real shame if true. Probably doesn’t help heading a heavy ball for 20 years at centre half. Certainly always been a decent man and deserves some respect

The yellow that led to Souttar getting sent off was soft but it was deserved because he was fannying about. Souttar is a proper talent but until he stops doing stuff like that he’ll not play for a bigger club than Hertz.

I agree with that, he made a mistake and put himself in a position where that could happen.
