Got to know Jeff and Ray Matts well, i had a great part job from the age of 14 to 16 selling the express and star. Used to to pick my papers up from the West Brom office.Then had lift to Johnson rolling mill church lane, a walk round the factory and made £1-50 a night.
When i got offered my apprenticeship with the GPO,i was on £5 -50p per week.
