I too am good with the typical Lancashire hospitality to people who are not lucky enough to live in our county.
But, if they start lauding a family enemy, and start criticising a close member of the family who is well loved and respected, the guest can expect itching powder to be applied surreptitiously to their nether regions and a strong laxative to be included with their cup of tea.
And I would expect no less if I were to pay a visit to people on the wrong side of the Pennines
