Thought our game would be off, credit to the groundsman at Sunnybank though and the match went ahead, fair play to MS United who head into the next round of the cup after a 9 goal thriller.

Haha, not quite.....5-4.....we were unlucky but fair play to MS.....the club sadly was deserted, noticed that quite a lot of new housing getting built close by, hopefully will assist going forward.

The last couple of times I have been in the Sunnybank Social club it has been deserted. Do social clubs still have the same appeal in this day and age?

It seems to be tough times for social clubs.

There's number of factors, a generational element, the smoking ban, the cheapness of off sales.

Kind of sad.....another part of societal fabric falling away.

You could add drink-driving to that list. Certainly most teams that play us have 1 or at the very most 2 beers after their game and the head off.

    MS United.

That takes me back, used to be in our league and we always seemed to draw them in the cups.

I always remember one of Fred's inspiring half time talks " we're nae getting beat by a bunch of poxy medics"

    Aidser still running things?
