Thread: The last time Ashley backed a manager

    Ashley hasn't really backed top managers at Newcastle at all ,he tends to give money to knob head managers ,I see it as part and parcel of trying to destroy any top managers pedigree or cv

    the 6-2 thrashing of Norwich was the only real high point of the Mcbrolly era and maybe that 0-0 at man u, Its weird the way Ashley suddenly decided to splash the cash but the way it ended that season he might have since regretted it as we have seen nothing like that outlay since. here's hoping for a new owner but wont count any chickens for a while
