    O/T The Wireless Thread

Don't know if there is a market for this. Could be like the TV thread, but without the pictures. I hardly watch TV these days, and find myself delving into the BBC Radio iplayer for stuff to listen to in the car, rather than music.

Likes, dislikes, programme recommendations etc. But please, not to discuss the latest Sportsound or Radio Clyde Football phone in.

Currently listening to R6 doc on the White Album. Excellent stuff.

Listening to radio 4 since I was about 17 almost exclusively.

Great programs over the years but the latest batch of extremely non funny comedians are ruining most of the political satire programs.

So now it's mostly radio 4 extra for Hancocks half hour etc.

I love listening to Radio 5 at night, just before nodding off. Unfortunately she hates the noise, so I haven’t listened to it in seven years. Dotun Adebayo still a w@nk?

I hardly watch the telly compared to days gone by. I definitely listen to the radio more these days

Best thing I did was get a Sonos. Can tune into heavy metal and rock stations from all over the world now

KNAC ,good for the 80s sunset strip bands but a good mix of rock and metal. probably the most listened to in Pac towers
Primordial Radio. Nae bad and recommended to me by Pauldolski
Planet Rock. Still determined to get my Rock Block played (Ten Tunes of your choice played, you has to be a reason behind each tune)
Saturday is religiously Sportsound. Get a lot of texts read out on Off the Ball. I'm sad

When I was a nipper I religiously listened to the Radio One Rock show. Found so many great bands through that. Especially when a band was in session. Loved Claire Sturgess live at Donington. That was in the day when it was a one day festival and Radio one shut down for the day and dedicated its self to Donington. I'm sure if I raked in my mas loft id find the tapes of old Monsters of Rocks is sat all day recording. Sturgess was followed by Andy Kavanagh who was decent too(I think that was his name, nae doubt Vas could keep me right)

Try the "In our time" series.

In fact search for "The Gin Craze" on the radio i player, that's a good start.

    Radio 4:

    Drama of the Week

Any Answers (2pm Saturday) where Anita fillets phone-in gammon on the way to Kynoch park to watch the Maroons.

    Books and Authors

    In Our Time

Great Lives (a bit hit and miss)

I keep meaning to tune into LBC now that Eddie Mair has joined.

    Danny Baker (Radio 5)

TV? Meh. We have all the catch-up stuff on it, so Bodyguard was interesting. The Press was quite entertaining in a cartoonish way (series 1 just finished).

Used to listen to the radio a lot more but dinna find I have the time these days. If the cricket is on I usually have TMS on in the background.

If i listen to anything, it's usually podcasts about Yankee Sports on The Ringer Podcast network.

    Good timing this.

Heard this morning that it's the 20th anniversary of "In out time"

    I heard that bit.

I always imagine Melvin Bragg logged in to wikipedia, trying to keep up with the experts
