Another sad loss, RIP.
An ever-present in the 1970/71 promotion side, he only played once the following season. That was against Villa in front of a crowd of 34,208 at Meadow Lane. He then retired at the age of 30 and moved back to Yorkshire where he became a fireman. He was a referee at local league level.

Don Masson's accurate passing to Charlie Crickmore on one wing or Jon Nixon on the other, proper wingers on the wing lobbing the ball over to Tony Hateley and Les Bradd, proper football, exciting stuff and great entertainment.
Very sad, only 76...great footballer should have played at a higher level...
Very sad to read this news. I have many happy memories of Charlie playing in a great team. RIP.
