Mr. Naysmith was notably repentant in today's Standard and that is to his credit. He touched upon a number of issues including not ringing the changes and playing substitutes.
Actions speak louder than words and we shall see if he is truly sorry.
lol are these the same youngsters that got done in by a makeshift abby vale side that had to go around asking players of the street to make up numbers for the game as the 3 or 4 queens lads abbyvale had couldnt play and couldnt field a proper team ,jeez jurys out .
Francis, - clearly Queens have loaned their young players out to give them greater experience and as you are aware this is something which all clubs do, - hence why Frizzell and Semple are presently with us.
Having a go at the club and the management for the sake of it is not at all sensible or constructive, regardless of how frustrating it might be on the side-lines when the results are not going your way.
You often do make very sensible points, - but in this case you may have let off steam without fully considering the point.
Never mind, - we all make mistakes, - and lets hope Queens stop making them on Saturday!
For sure the reaction to the East Fife defeat will be interesting although the options are fairly limited. So what does he do particularly with the defence who have been so erratic this season. Does he split up Semple and Doyle and perhaps the Canadian lad. Push Doyle out the the right full back position and bench Mercer. Marshall has been a shadow of himself this season as well in my opinion but is that to do with the set up pushing the backs too far forward leaving us exposed to quick counters. I suppose we have to wait for the game to see if the team is to be freshened up or he sticks with his tried, probably tired but erratic same players. Stay tuned.
You could see how much the manager was hurting during his after match interview. He knows he should of freshened things up for the East Fife game but we need to realise he’s not got a lot of options some times due to the size of our squad. Bringing on or even starting some of these youngsters is a massive gamble and one that could backfire on him and give a section of the support even more to moan about.
We’ve actually done not too bad this season but desperately need to start winning games again after a run of 5 without
one.
The strongest back four baseD on the season so far is Doyle, Fordyce, Semple, Marshall.
Without a shadow of a doubt. Unless one of those 4 have an injury ....
