I thought half the country and more does accept it?
How many of those polled are actually eligible to vote?

Jo Johnson resigns saying the deal being negotiated 'will be a terrible mistake' with a choice of leaving the UK economically weakened with no say in the EU rules it must follow or having a no deal Brexit which would 'inflict untold damage on our nation'

Well we have been telling you!

He also said "The UK was barrelling towards an incoherent Brexit that is going to leave us trapped in a subordinate relationship to the EU. It is imperative to go back to the people and check they are content to proceed on this extraordinary basis".

Can't see a lot wrong with that myself. Although it remains to be seen how it will eventually pan out, surely only those with their heads buried deep in the sand can see it won't be the Utopian wonderland that Farage & Co conned the electorate on. I don't think any leave voters would want us to be "trapped in a subordinate relationship to the EU". It's obvious now that the 2016 vote was fought on a completely unknown outcome, so let's sort the best deal we can and then let the people decide. How is that undemocratic?

Come on Elite, you're sharper than that. If the first votes result isn't enacted, democracy is dead, it's just a sham.
Jo Johnson wrote the manifesto pledging to have the referendum and enact the result whatever the result, it's just more moaning from those who never wanted it.
The deal is terrible, so it's best we just leave as voted for.

So are you saying that although the deal will be terrible, we should still go through with it because of the vote in 2016?

For a long time I have been against a second vote simply because it wasn't an option on the ballot paper back then. But if the deal that is negotiated (I still don't think "no deal" will be the outcome) has very little support, why in the national interest should we accept it?

Lets be honest here, Jo Johnson is a staunch remainer, always has been. If he's un happy, i'm ecstatic.

Still comes down to one thing.
    1. Cave in and accept inside 25 years you'll be swallowed in a super state
    2. Stick to your guns, keep your sovereignty and maybe the EU will reform or collapse.

Already we have Macron insulting America as he wants an EU army to defend against the USA. (O'DEAR, SHORT MEMORY AND WRONG TIME OF YEAR)

Even their mouth piece Tusk, is weary of whats going on.

The president of the European Council said Brussels’ trust in Warsaw was now “dead” due to an escalating crisis sparked by a crackdown on democracy and a judicial overhaul in Poland.

And he warned the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party was aligning the country with Russia, to behave like “twins”.

Mr Tusk warned PiS could pull his home nation from the union unless there were sufficient “benefits” to membership.

He and said the party already thought of an exit as a “goal”.

This is what happens when you allow something grow beyond itself by stealth. Whilst conning everyone into believing it was something else in the beginning.
I'm sick of it now. Just drag us out. We'll take what comes. All these spineless wimps forget that the major industrial power in Europe is Germany.
You know, the one bombed/shelled/flattened/torched back to the stone age by two allied forces.
    Funny how things turn out

... so many on here have allowed themselves to become bogged down in the more created by the Establishment. The Establishment et al abdicated from the decision about the EU. Leave means get out of the EU sesspit. The leave negotiation has been hijacked by the Establishment to foil the exit when , in essense, it is more about technical rather than political aspects. The feeble and feckless Establishment cannot stand the idea that they are seen not to control. This week an interviewee (involved with the technical aspects of port movements) at the Port of Dover said there is no problem and that all the fuss is simply political manoevering. Regarding Ireland, the only ones likely to create a real fuss are the criminal elements. If we have a hard border, so what. The criminals should get what they deserve and if that's from the wrong end of a gun so be it. The value of trade is more important to Eire than the UK. Anyone who is such a wimp that they believe our economy is not strong enough for us to make our own future needs to get out more.

    Will TM survive.

Appears they have got the agreement through the cabinet on a majority but many ministers not happy.

Rumours of forthcoming resignations and letters of 'no confidence'.

Is this agreement what the Brexiteers wanted?

The best thing that could happen for her and the Tories would be to call a general election. Labour win so that leaves anti EU campaigner Mr Corbyn in charge to handle the final negotiations. Now that would be interesting.

    What do you think?
The ballot paper said 'leave' or 'remain'.
    The majority voted to 'leave'.

This 'deal' is Remain with a gift of billions to the EU thrown in - and I'm not the least surprised at this.
If it gets through Parliament the Tories will be toast at the next GE.

How many Remainers want a People's Vote on this deal? It's gone a bit quiet on that front and it will stay that way.
