beating teams at the bottom is important, losing to Boro is quite irrelevant in the scheme of things

Little point in beating Boro if we lose today? Losing to Boro irrelevant?
I can't believe that anyone genuinely thinks that.
Obviously beating teams around us is a double whammy as it gives us 3 points as well as denying them any.
There are 5 teams below us on an average of less than a point a game. If we average 3 points every 2 games that will do us just fine, regardless of who the wins and losses come against.
