If we're working hard and losing to a better team fair enough. What we don't want to hear is any of the nonsense about being 'slow out of the traps today' or 'not being at the races, early doors'.

Sounds like we've over-balanced towards attacking players today and left ourselves open defensively.

Team shape is all wrong. We’re lucky to be only 2-0 down after 30 minutes. Danns completely bossing the midfield, all very reminiscent of Exeter away. Hewitt likely to get sent off before half time.

This team has absolutely nothing about them. I'm sick of them. Roll on July.

Looks like the break has completely the opposite effect on Notts, where to from here.... early goal second half or it could be a tonking

Woeful first 45 minutes, second best all over the park. This feels like an early season performance where we’re too easy to play through. Their left winger has been able to stroll through the Notts defence at will, both goals coming from that side.

This could easily end up 4 or 5-0 at this rate, dropping us right back in it ahead of two more tough games this week.

We win or we learn. Still early days for Harry Kewell and today looks like being a case of the latter unless we change tactics at half-time and pull off a surprise comeback. Perhaps he got a bit over-confident in a couple of our players after recent results. We shipped goals for fun before his arrival and it's clear from the first half that we need (at least) six defensive-minded players on the pitch to keep the back door shut.

Yeah, I'm blaming the international break, really bad timing that, just as we were getting the confidence going. Oldham are losing at home right now. we would have beaten them.

This should end any daft talk of us still being in with a chance of promotion though. It's got to be about keeping our heads above water until January, then hopefully rectify some of the problems in the next window and start to build for real from there.
