What a difference a year makes

On this day last year, or a year ago tomorrow if going by exact date, we went to Hampden and pumped Rangers 2-0 in the League Cup Semi Final with Louis Moult scoring a double which included THAT lob for the second. One of the best days I've ever had following Well and the high we were on after that was immense.

Fast forward a year and look where we are. You would absolutely kill for a Louis Moult type in this current side.

    Indeed.

Rather conveniently, if you count our league games since that date we've played 38, a full season - and won 9. Relegation form in anyone's book and absolutely horrific if you caveat 3 of those wins came in bottom six dead (for us) rubbers.

I know it's ridiculous ignoring the excellent cup form which, if you're generous, could be said to have contributed to such form.

But it's still a damning statistic.

The Scottish Cup run is keeping the heat right down on Stephen Robinson and perhaps keeping him in a job just now. It was a great run with the highlight being the semi final win over Aberdeen where we displayed the battling, combative strengths which brought us a lot of joy last year. We haven't performed anything like that since that day though and our league form since this time last year has been horrific.
