Notts County - Our team of the decade?

Let's be honest, since the Munto season it's been pretty bleak supporting Notts. But if you had to pick a 'best of' team of players we've had here since 2010, who would make it in there?

I'll start the ball rolling with some I feel should be in there. I'm also not counting players we only had on loan (Grealish, Grant etc) as if we did then the whole team would probably be full of them.

    GK - Bartosz Białkowski

    RB - ?

    LB - ?

    CB – Gary Liddle

    CB - ?

    MR - Alan Judge

    ML - ?

    CM - Neal Bishop

    CM - ?

    CF - Lee Hughes

    CF - ?

Ben Davies would have to get a game for us.

    Thompson/Darby at RB

    Sheehan at LB

Bart was very good and was here for a while so I can see why you put him in over Kasper.

Bogdanovic was also a very good striker in his short loan spell.

Yates would get to be my other CM only here for 6 months but he was superb for us.

This isn't easy to do as we hardly have any stand out players !!!

    GK - Bartosz Białkowski

    RB - ?

    LB - Sheehan

    CB – Gary Liddle

CB - Leacock (for that one season he was good)

    MR - Ben Davies

    ML - ??

    CM - Neal Bishop

    CM - Alan Judge

    CF - Lee Hughes

CF - John Stead (for sheer effort alone, plus he has scored double figures every season at Notts)

Don't know about RB and LM. I was thinking Jeff Hughes on the left, purely because he scored a fair few goals. But in truth he was pretty average. Can't think of a right back other than Tootle (for last season) or maybe John Thompson, but he didn't play much post Munto.

I would stick Jeff Hughes in there, he did ok for us.

Toots has a chance at RB, maybe a Freeman but he was a loan.

I would also replace Leacock with Edwards.

I’d go for a 4-3-1-2 formation as follows:
    Schmeichel
    Tootle, Edwards, Lee, Sheehan
    Ravenhill, Bishop, Davies
    Judge
    Hughes, Stead

7 of the Munto team in there, I know, but it’s difficult to find many players we’ve had since, who have been better. And I’d have both Thompson and Westcarr among the subs.

Which season was that?!? I remember him being average at best.

Also surprised people have gone for Liddle at CB. I remember him being a decent midfielder but too lightweight at CB.

    1. Bart
    2. Darby
    3. Sheehan
    4.Liddle ( midfield)
    5.Edwards
6.Kristian Pearce (before the head injury)
    7.JCR
    8. Bishop
    9.Lee Hughes
    10. Shola
    11. Westcarr
    Subs
    Gavin Mahon
    Alan Judge
    Jon Stead
    Jeff Hughes
    Jon Forte
    Julian Kelly
    Craig Nelson

Not checked who was and wasn't here at the time so gone for post Munto.
What's pretty damming is that only Stead way past his best gets anywhere near from our current crop.
