Still wakkint, still buzzin. Regardless o' the manner o' oor win, Ah'm jist chuffed tae be anither final .. and the chance alive tae get oor hands on the handles .. a thought occurred tae me tonight ... which may be an even better omen than my recent random savoury snack anomaly ....

Back in 86, I had become disillusioned with Bonethrone's Dons. From being at Pittodrie every Saturday, Cup, League or reserve game, I opted for a Saturday walkin roon an roon the 'new' market, chattin up lassies ... which wis aboot as successful as playin Barrie Mitchell as a striker!

Onywye ... Ally McLeod toddles in by, and has us playin, competin, winnin. ... Ah'm happy of course, but nae convinced ... til ma mates. near 2 months later, encouraged me tae go back and see, as they described it, the 'new' Dons ... and Ah came awa havin seen the best game Ah could remember ... Dons 5, PJMs 3 ... and got back in ma stride ... but still, every hiccup, Ah thought ... ' here we go again' ( pants pisher )... and so it went on ... we were better for sure .... but for how lang?? ....

Onywye, things upped an' dooned league-wise ... Ah remember Hibs, Farts and Motherweel were as scary as the cheeks aroon then, but then came that day ... in ma hoose ... listenin tae the wireless ... and livin every second o' that 5-1 doin o' the huns ... and next day, Ah raked ma bedroom, found ma Dons scarf, and wore it tae school next day. Wis so heartened and proud tae see so mony Dons scarves aroon so mony necks that day at mornin interval ... or 'playtime' if ye like.

Weel, tonight, Ah did the same ... afore goin tae the Prince tae dae ma stuff at the regular Sunday acoustic session, Ah couldna mind far the hell Ah'd last stashed the bugger, but Ah got there in the end, slung it roon ma scrawny auld heid connector, and proudly toddled up the road.

Noo ... if yev read this far, and remembered the first sentence ... re an omen ... the last time Ah rediscovered ma faith an' pride o' ma dandy Dons scerf, we robbed Timmy in a final .... much the same wye as we robbed HIVS and the HUNS of late ..... We can dae this folks ... tho it might well be 80 mins o' hoofba' tae save legs til the end ... and if it's 80 mins o' leg savin hoofba' ... might as well hae Cosgrove than fυckin Wilson .... and better Somebody like Anderson pickin off him than Wright.

So .. fυck yer Zoltans and yer Zeroualis ... jist get it done brutal wi the minimum o' yalla cards 'at keeps 11 on the pitch ... ffs ... we showed against thon dirty cheatin hun cυnts we could dish it oot as weel as tak it fan it mettered .... (and hey ... good on the ref today!! his hunnish leanins could hae easily killed us aff if he'd called a couple o' decisions which, though wrang, he would hae got away wi' ).

Ah believe Christie wis damn good for the tattie munchers earlier .... any danger the SFA could invoke a new rule? If ye have been prevented from fieldin a player against his 'parent' club whilst you have him on loan, same player is ruled out from playin against loaner for the same number of games as he has been ruled out against 'parent' .... seems fair tae me ... ha ha ha

But .... next ... let's do Accies .... at least 3 of the clubs above us in the league will drop at least 9 points between them on Wednesday. Only difference tae us will be that oor next game efter that will see us with a chance of climbin. COYR!

Other than that tho, I have a query ... prob best appeal directly to V57 .... I commented above re my first Ally Mac game ... Sheep 5, PJMs 3 ... Pittodrie, January 10, 1975 .... I am convinced Walker McCall hit an out o' the blue 20 yarder just under the crossbar, which spectacularly whizzed in a downward arc, according to the stretch capacity of the net, beach end, and 'stotted' off the ground at the back of said net. and yet, I can find no online record of this ... the best I can find is a wiki record, which concurs with my memory of Jocky's hat trick, and Bumpers goal .... but no mention of who may have made it 5 .... shame, cos if my memory is valid/accurate ....then the best goal of the game has gone unrecorded/unrecognised.
