Certainly could have been worse had either of or both Accies and St.Mirren had won but Accies have gained another point on us so it's not all good. That is a point that we almost certainly wouldn't have got.
Needless to say but the next week and the two upcoming games are absolutely massive for us and will I think shape the rest of our season. We need six points from these games and nothing else is acceptable especially with the next set of fixtures we have after Dundee. If we manage this then it will give us a foothold and, you'd hope, a bit of a confidence boost, but if we don't and indeed we lose either or both of them then I firmly believe the writing is on the wall even in early November and relegation will be a certainty.
Dundee and St Mirren are probably the only thing keeping Robinson in a job at the minute. We seem to regularly lose by one while they get tanked...significant? We'll know by next Saturday because by then excuses will have run out and the board must decide to twist or stick.
No argument on the comment these next 2 games are absolute 'must wins'. Be interesting to see how many we have at the game midweek. That's a pivotal game, and we'll need to be vociferous in our support. Saying nowt else... for now.
IMO it’s the next game that matters lose it and Robinson has to go, St.Mirren have scored five goals in the league one of which was an own goal. Today they didn’t have a shot on target. It is imperative we score first on Wednesday. Lose this one and Robinson has to be made to go no more excuses or what positives can be taken from the game. St Mirren look very vulnerable to cross balls into their box and we all know how Samson deals with crosses. So let’s hope we play with a high tempo, and get some decent passes and crosses in for whoever our forwards are COYW
From the highlights yesterday St Mirren could easily have lost about six to a St Johnstone side we know are no great shakes. If we're solid at the back and trust ourselves just a little more going forward, the win is there for the taking - but much easier said than done.
On the topic of yesterday, the Hamilton miss has to be seen to be believed. All because a professional footballer didn't think he could convert a tap-in into an all but empty net with his weaker foot...given the massive emphasis on modern coaching and technique, it shouldn't just be the player hanging his head today.
