    Two stand out for me. 'The Wall', by Pink Floyd, which admittedly, has a hit record in it. Paris,Texas, a weird mid-eighties film, with a sound track by the brilliant Ry Cooder. Atmospheric music at its best.

    But the use of Barber's 'Adagio for Strings' in the final scenes of Platoon, was damn fine.

    Carter Burwell is also right up there with Morricone.

    Theme to "millers crossing" is gorgeous.
