Cheers,I wonder how much these young lads are paid to sign on.. Must be a massive fee if Rovers can sign him on before clubs like that..I suppose the advantage is he will have a better opportunity of progressing his career with Rovers ..

It's interesting you should say that, Alf. There has been a huge amount of talk, recently, about very talented youngsters at PL clubs not getting game-time and having to play U-23 football or go out on loan.
Wouldn't it make more sense for them to sign for lower level clubs in the first place, and show their ability in first-team football?
Are nursery clubs allowed in England? If so, I wonder if the top teams have ever considered using smaller clubs in the same area to "grow" their best young players.

We have quite a few at Burnley Aucks that are out on loan.. One lad Jimmy Dunne is playing for Hearts and has just recieved a call up to the Eire squad.

By the way New Zealand rugby league boys have had two beatings .. Hope we can whitewash them this weekend ..lol

Usual problem in the League, Alf. Both the national team and the Warriors (NZ) are hopelessly inconsistent.

    Shame..
