Not in Sedgefield though, I'll bet!

I haven't ventured up there yet, but I'll bet the natives are restless?

I doubt it because it is very much like Ashington politically. Tony Blair used to get around 60% of the vote so he could do no wrong.

There will be a lot more paperwork and faffing about at customs, but the gee gees will get in.

It is likely that going to watch the Arc in Paris or a big Irish race will be more complicated for us British human beings too.

I don't see why it should be a problem 59/60, I got to Paris fairly frequently, the place is a wash with Americans, Japanese, Chinese, Australians, Canadians, especially French Canadians, and none of these countries are in the EU. Doesn't seem too complicated for them, why should it be for us ?

Well up to a point Sub, and you've illustrated the main reason I voted to leave the EU. There is absolutely nothing we can do about any decision the EU makes, they can do exactly as they want, and we have to suck it up. When we leave the EU, our legislators will have to put their propositions for government in a manifesto, and ask the people to give them a mandate to govern. If they don't govern to our satisfaction we can throw them out of office at the next election. It's not a perfect system by any means, but our politicians take the piss at their peril, we will have the last say, and they will be answerable to us for ALL our laws.

In the EU, what can we do about any law, regulation or directive of which we disapprove ?

Except it isn't cock up BT, nobody, not even May, could be so incompetent as to get us into this mess by accident. This is a deliberate attempt by a Remainer PM, a Remainer Chancellor, a Remainer Tory Party, a Remainer Parliament, a Remainer Civil Service and a Remainer Establishment to keep us in the EU. Her plan will be presented as the only possible one, with no alternatives. Take it or leave it, and if you leave it we are heading for chaos as the government has, quite deliberately, made no contingency plans for leaving without a withdrawal agreement.

Best have a General Election then and boot the phuckers out.

Fixed Term Parliament Act BT, we can't get the phuckers out, short of them losing a no confidence vote, and Tory turkeys won't vote for Christmas. We're lumbered with them.

That would be interesting, to say the least because, if there is a change of government with Labour taking control under the current leadership, from everything I have heard we will still be bungling around with no clear view of whether we go or whether we stay.
As I said, surely it is in all politicians' interest to have a status quo because, no matter what happens they will be able to blame the current PM for everything and just take a step back saying that it had nothing to do with them.
Surely nobody would do that ---would they?

The only thing I know for certain is that if the current crop of MP's could have a free, anonymous vote on Brexit, we would Remain.

Sort of proves my theory that most of them are self serving, gutless eejits.
