Considine is everything that is wrong with this club today and why we will win nothing for as long as we put up with mediocre pish. Lucky most weeks the way he manhandles the opposition in our box. Sums up our pathetic chairman too who is happy to offer said mediocrity further contracts. Not a very positive outlook if this is the best we can attract.

Consi has been one of the first names on the team sheet for a long long time under many different managers.

Now, that may well point to where we are as a team, but it’s hardly the players fault.

If Andrew Considine is one of our main players then I wouldn’t hold out much hope for further silverware unless it is in a mule contest.

I've never been a big fan - but there's far worse players than Andy masquerading as AFC professional footballers these days - & for the last 15 odd years he's been a fixture in the side.

That's the real problem - nae Andy himself per se. The loon actually does pretty well overall considering his limitations. I ken I'd rather have him in the trenches with me if the going got tough than maist of the other utter fannies in our squad.

I’ve nothing against Considine at all, but a bit like Darren Mackie I think it’s an indictment of the state of the club that he’s amassed so many caps. For me he’s a solid back up defender who ironically is better in the opponents’ box than his own. Despite his goal return I hope for better quality than he has to offer. But after a decade I’m not holding my breath.
