I've never been a fan of Rondonkey or known why he was wanted here. He was never known for his electrifying pace or ability to strike fear into defenders. I'm sure I've read posts bigging him up. I reckon Muto has more about him. Certainly has more energy.

Granted that Gayle was rubbish for pretty much a whole PL season, I liked the lad and would have preferred to keep him and offload Perez. Unfortunately for Gayle, he doesn't speak Spanish.

Rondon averages 8 goals a season yet he was top of the list .

Rondon WAS wanted, but Plea was top target.

    Rafa probably wanted both.

Rondon was also wanted BEFORE pre season started as our player.

Not as a stop gap loan option 5 mins before our 1st game kicked off

You need to read my post properly. He wanted them both.Yes he wanted Plea, yes he wanted Rondon.
He wanted to buy both, this is what gets me with Rafa and quite a lot of our supporters.
Paying the sort of money we would have had to have paid isn't happening here with Ashley in charge so why do they think it will or might.
Complete waste of a transfer window trying to push through deals that wont happen. Will be the same in January. Why everyone thinks he will spend if we are still at the bottom amazes me.He didn't spend last year,he sanctioned 3 loans and that was it.

Spot on Mick.Thats why we have an overweight Rondon that is clearly unfit. He had no pre-season.West Brom knew he would end up here one way or another.
Even if he is any good or comes good I can't see us seeing the benefit of it for a few games yet.
But if he had a pre-season here it might of been different.

Another 90mins, which is good and some goals to fill him with confidence.
