    Goalkeeper

Why is Joe Hart still in goal for Burnley?
Tom is now fit surly a much better option!

Two England keepers and three when Nick fit.

We pay a Manager a lot of money to make those choices.

For the simple reason he isn't doing much wrong. Personally I prefer Heaton to Hart, but like Barrie says I'm not paid to make those decisions (sadly!)

...and two other decent goalkeepers on the payroll. Bizarre!

Forgive my friends and other posters ignorance and welcome StanW

Perhaps Tom is not showing what he used to in training, I was not a fan of Hart coming here, but he's proved me wrong so far as he's saved us from more larger scores against us.

    You could be right, Norder.

In the back of my mind there was something about his wages being paid or topped up by his previous club.

May well be that's an indication of his terms with us which might include the end of such wages assistance if not playing.

But the bottom line is he has't done much wrong all the time he has been in goal and a change would add no value to the results so far.

it seems Heeler.....on leaving City - was paid a large amount to subsidise his drop in wages at Burnley - something could've been agreed then....but if so - was a risky move.

and with Burnley's recent form - could have expected a Heaton return - see if his presence would help lift the team - or is he readying for a move - as was in the news a month ago.... .

"Come the January transfer window, I've got to keep my *options open. The one thing I've been consistent about in my career is moving clubs in order to play games.

I think Tom could only help the defence to get there confidence back. I think Joe Hart as started to show a few worrying signs and I would hate to lose Tom.

Come on Stan im not sure how anyone can criticise Hart for his performances since he got in the team, it's the defence in front of him and the midfield in front of them where our problems lie.
I get our allegiance to Tom but I think in Dyche s defence he would never have commit to a play a player as part of his deal when signing on.
Tom s leaving and so is Pope because there money spinners first and foremost and it hurts me to say this but I believe our club is only interested in the money.
