More focus being put on win percentage records at clubs who were all sliding down the leagues with chaotic ownership and no stability - a bit odd!
    Fair points!

He's neither an unknown quantity who could be the next big thing nor a proven successful manager. He's just meh.
You're kidding right? Serious question did you get chance to see the last team he was in league 2 with? Spoiler alert it was Oxford. He went in there and guided them to a solid 13th place in his 1st season. The season after he got them promoted, playing the best football i've seen from any away side. They scored the most goals in the league (84) and had the best defensive record (41) while also reaching the FL trophy final. Then if that's not good enough for you, in his 1st season in League 1 he guided Oxford to an 8th place finish, missing out on the play offs by just 4 points, while reaching the FL trophy final again. The key thing is he clearly has an ability to improve players, which is what we need now. He knows the lower leagues and has the abilty to sign Gems, Kemar Roofe, Alex Macdonald and Danny Hylton being 3 of them. If that's your idea of not doing anything of note then fair enough, football is all about opinions...

No you're absolutely right, I didn't look him up and had completely forgotten he was at Oxford, and based my opinion on my knowledge of him a few years ago when he was moving from one club to another. Mea Culpa!

That part of his career wasn't that great tbf, but i'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt, as it was with clubs that had horrible off the field problems. Oxford, Leicester and Pompey fans speak highly of him though, he also seems as ambitious as Hardy. Perfect match imo.

I'm saying that I believe you had a previous username on this board. I don't know if that user was banned, but you appeared very shortly after he disappeared posting exactly the same stuff in exactly the same style. I don't think I'm alone in thinking that, it seems a few people appear to know who you really are.

Don't think there is any chance though. Salford are minted with ex Man Utd players' dosh and they look like they will be taking our league place pretty soon.

If Gary Bowyer has had a change of heart he's the man. He's worked with one of the most toxic chairmen / board of directors in football and succeeded i.e the Oyston mafia at Blackpool !
Not Man Utd players dosh but Peter Lim owner of Valencia. An owner who CAN walk the walk and doesn't act like a complete ****
