Who are most brain washed? Surely brain washing off the masses can only happen when there is a way of mass media reaching the masses in order to brain wash them. Which mass media is doing that with news coverage? The widest read mass media is the Sun, Mail, Express. Who else do you have in mind? The TV news viewing figures are relatively low, so who is doing the brainwashing in your opinion?

The irony of it is that the likes of Grist and Gfire never challenge Nazi view points..So who knows whos side they would have been on in WW2.

You mean like the Communist Party of Great Britain who were on the Nazis side until they invaded Russia?

Who deliberately disrupted the war effort through their trade union officials until that happened.

Yes they absolutely were. The bigots who Alf Garnett were based on were being ridiculed throughout. As the writers went to great lengths to say over the years!

In short, I'm afraid, over the last 50 years, when we have been laughing at Alf Garnett we are laughing at bigots. Like you. Priceless that you can't see it.

With the beginning of the Second World War in 1939, the CPGB initially continued to support the struggle on two fronts (against Chamberlain at home and Nazi fascism abroad). Following the Molotov–Ribbentrop nonaggression pact on August 23 between the Soviet Union and Germany, the Comintern immediately changed its position. The British party immediately fell in line, campaigning for peace, and describing the war as the product of imperialism on both sides, and in which the working class had no side to take.[13] This was opposed within the CPGB by Harry Pollitt and J. R. Campbell, the editor of the Daily Worker, and both were relieved of their duties in October 1939.[14] Pollitt was replaced by Palme Dutt. From 1939 until 1941 the CPGB was very active in supporting strikes and in denouncing the government for its pursuit of the war.

Also read "I Believed" by Douglas Hyde which explains how they disrupted British war production.
