I walk through Barnsley Town centre regularly at around 10pm on my way home from work when on the late shift and when my partner needs the car for her night shift .

I've never seen so many homeless people in my town in the 56 years I've lived in this town .

I generally have around 20 minutes to kill before my bus so I tend to buy the lads n lasses a coffee or something warm to eat and that leads to a conversation .

Some are drug addicts but many aren't and you can tell they aren't , you can't be totally sure but certainly the vibe I get is that they aren't because the conversation doesn't suggest that and even if they were then so what , they are still human beings and nobody knows why they became addicted to drugs .

I'm addicted to nicotine and my partner to a prescription drug , who am I to judge .

So Fire you put together around a £1200 to rent a place on a minimum wage or ZHC when you have nothing behind you and lifes worked against you , you can't and that's working .

My step daughter works part time and in further education , her partner works full time and both myself and my partner still had to give them £1200 just so they could move in and have the basics and they'd saved themselves , if they hadn't they wouldn't have got feck all from us because that's not the way we both roll .

You can't put everyone in the same box .

Socialists blaming other people for the messes they've made, nothing new about that.

I think you'll find that we live in a capitalist country, it's a few decades since we really had a socialist gov't, who are you trying to pin the blame on here exactly???

I'll assume you'd welcome to pay £4000 per year for basic medical assistance fire .

Tell you what lets go the whole hog and do away with taxation altogether , tolls on the roads , pay as you drive , sort your own basic pension out , If you don't save you starve to death , too bad , social care , you having a laff , fall on the floor and stay there till you die if you aren't covered at 80 years of age .

Don't forget the mark up to investor's and shareholders what ever you do .

Your a socialist fire just as I am , inadvertently but without it you'd struggle when life went against you .

Aye it's a funny one , because we holiday in Torquay fairly regularly and over the years we've seen homelessness increase there too , walk down Union Street at midnight after a night out and it's no different to my town .

Torquay is a picturesque area and extremely affluent and tory since elections were invented

    Funny old world innit ??

Actually if the rent is £1200 it must have improved a lot since I was last there cos it was about £400-450 last time I looked.

Your not aware that a rental property is just bricks and mortar then and clearly forget a property requires the means to sit in a living room , cook a meal , wash your clothes , watch a tv and have a months rent In the bank just in case you fall ill .

Real life seems to escape you fire .
