Apparently it gets its first airing tonight. Apparently ITV changed the theme music for a lot of its shows yesterday to piano versions - sumat to do with this advert or sumat.
Sorry, but when did an advert become a ****ing national event?! Who the **** even is John Lewis anyway? They did a Christmas ad about six years ago, everyone said ooh I like that version of that song and now apparently it's not officially Christmas until the John Lewis advert comes on?!
No, it's not officially Christmas until December 25th.

The juggernaut that is commercialisation.
It's not christmas until:
1) John Lewis advert comes on with the aforementioned slowed down cover version sung by a child.
2) The Coca Cola trucks rumble through some hick town. "Holidays are coming."
3) Some dedicated channel way down your digital TV guide becomes devoted to horrific straight to bargain bin Christmas films.
4) A classic Christmas story gets a big screen "reboot." This year it's the Nutcracker
5) Every shop, cafe, pub, restaurant and public transport hub has "Now Thats What I call Christmas" on loop from early November
6) Jonah Lewie appears on some clip compilation show to tell everyone once again how Stop The Cavalry isn't even a Christmas song

Get the sentiment of the John Lewis advert but in reality it’s just promoting the Elton John film coming out next year which IMO doesn’t need promoting so why have they chose to do it?

How long will people keep spending a premium just because it's John Lewis?
While we are ranting Black Friday is really starting to piss me off. Can't we call it something else and put it on a different day just to try and be a bit different!!
