I've given up trying to figure anything out logically as far as Notts are concerned. If this was to happen he'd have my backing, even though I'd merely be buying lots of popcorn and hoping the story played out to a fairytale ending rather than the disaster that seems more likely. This is the problem. If he comes in and we lose five on the bounce, what then? We'd be the first club to fire the same boss twice in one season. For him to bring Nolan back, he has to be 100% sure he's the right man, but how can he be?

You don't think it's perhaps maybe because a manager can get worse and starting out great is not that useful if it all goes downhill? There's only so much "credit" you can get for a good start if it ends horribly.
