A few weeks ago Ayr looked hard to catch, amazing to find we're now 3 points ahead of them with a game in hand.
Similarly the gap to County looks tough to bridge, can we?
Interesting times.

With Falkirks win tonight, you just know what i write next will mean nothing after our game tomorrow!
10 games for us to go with one displaced game against our main rivals who we have to play twice. They have lost their main goal scorer and another is injured short term.
It is only 5 points with a game in hand for them v Falkirk to play which is not an easy tie now, so i think it can be done!
I take your point about 5pm tomorrow because that's usually how it works, a chink of light then we fail to take advantage of it.
fwiw I've always believed we could win this league, never at any point whatsoever did I believe otherwise, but it's always been about US, what WE do, and I think it still is.
Make no mistake we will have to win a lot of games to do it, but we can do it, and we need 3 points tomorrow to keep the belief alive.
With the way the league is, that 5 point gap with game in hand is a lot, no game is easy that is left, Falkirk and Partick may be down there but that isn't a reflection of their current strength now as they made a lot of changes in January
I'm glad Falkirk won as we must get second to have a chance in play offs, winning the league would be a very unlikely bonus, would need us to maintain or better our good recent league form and County's also good recent league form to fall away
Would be delighted with 4 pts from these two away games we have back to back before we face County at home
Now that second place (at best) is accepted and lets say we do get to the final, would a derby be anybodys choice?? Would save a trip to poxy Hamilton at least. No?
Exactly, United fans should chill a bit, it's the fun who would have most to lose and feel the pressure and the fear of losing, it's as you were if we lost to them or Accies / Mirren.... The difficult part is getting to that tie, we'll need to overcome a difficult opponent first
Looking at fixtures, our run in is tough with regards the away games, glad Ayr lost as they have 6 of their 9 games left at home, County are at home today and Tues (Morton / Falkirk) , if they win both then we may as well focus on second
