I don't think we've seen enough of Rondon to see if he's a keeper.
As his fitness improves, so will his pace, touch and confidence. I think we should judge him in March.

I would have Gayle back as a second choice striker, simply because he is better than Joselu and Perez.

Ultimately though, if Rondon stays, we need a quality number 10 to play off him.

And also will we pay the money they want if we decided to keep him

It all depends on the set up that plays to the strength of Rondon.
Use him properly and he could become a worthy number 9 that we've all been accustomed to over the years. (obviously not the latter years)

If we could do a straight swap for Gayle or at least close to it with sensible wages ( as sensible as the climate dictates in today's mental market), then it's a no brainer as long as his strengths are played to and he's willing to take on the pressure pot number 9 mantle.

Well Shearer played in goal at his trial here as a ****ager so perhaps Rondon has ability and a slim chance.

I think Beardsley played in goal against West Ham.

Vinny Jones for the Dons. Who can forget that. Lent his heart to the Gallowgate that afternoon.

Jose Enrique going in, after Pepe Reina got sent off at SJP.
