    Consett v Hebburn Town

    Off to this tomorrow afternoon.

Two big Northern League sides. Consett are the biggest supported Club in the Northern League. Hebburn considered the richest.

As a Stanley lad I will be shouting for Hebburn Town.

    A very enjoyable afternoon out.

Hebburn won 3-1. Not a physio in sight. No players beating the pitch as if they'd been shot. Well referee'd.

Some good players on show, many ex Newcastle.

Can't remember all of their names, a lad who is a Consett supporter pointed out a couple who are ex- Newcastle.

One of the player's from Hebburn is Michael Richardson. Ginger haired lad.

Absolute class he was. Scored a great second goal.

The manager of my gym is a friend of mine, he's also manager of Hebburn Town. I'll see him tomorrow and get a few more names.

    I recognise that name.

Don't think he ever actually played for us but he was definitely mentioned as one for the future at the time.

Evening chaps 😉. As a Hebburn lad through and through, I'm over the moon with they way they are coming along at the minute. My brother played for them a while back as did my uncle.
They were promoted last year and look set for successive promotions.
Wish I could get to the games.

Well they did you and your Town proud yesterday, against the top side in the Northern League. In front of a crowd over 500.

Going well in the Vase too.

Good to see you posting again Nodge

I always look for Heburns result bit of a soft spot for them. I used to play for Hawthorn Leslie’s as a youngster had some great times.
