    When they're all fit...

who would you have as our first-choice CB pairing.

For me, it would have to be Lejeune and Fernandez.

Rafa said that we'd have to change our playing style to cope with Lejeune's absence and we've hit it long a lot more than we would have with him in the side. Rafa's a defensive-minded coach but he's not a long-ball merchant-massive difference. And Fernandez has been a revelation since he arrived (well, to me, anyway-probably not most others given that he's an Argentine international ).

I think most folk would have Lejeune in as an automatic choice but I know opinion will be divided about his partner. Aye, Lascelles is our captain but I think Fernandez is a better player-possibly in every department.

    Thoughts?

I would lean towards Lejeune and Fernandez but only minimally.

I think Lascelles brings a lot to the team as a captain but for him to do that he needs to be on the pitch.

I also think it'll be bit of a moot point though as i think he's off, so Lejeune and Fernandez will easily be our strongest pairing at that point.

;ascelles is an ok player noy great average at best as i have said many times .
i cant see why anyone thinks he will become an international or even a top 5-6 team player (maybe squad)

    i do like fernandez

and does get the ball up field quicket

    as suggested

    we are winning
    dont change it

Lascelles all day for me. I didn't like what he said recently but in form I think he's a beast at CB and a good captain. I think the thread should be who partners him not Lejeune. He's still only 25 as well with his prime years still ahead of him. But I do agree I wouldn't put him straight back in the squad. He has to wait for a poor performance now for me. Which probably won't take to long but hopefully does.

It's difficult to say who are the best CB pairing.
They are all different in their ways but all equally capable on their day of being as good as each other.

I think we have a good choice in any combination at the back and it would be good if we had the same quality up front to select the best two strikers.

If they stay fit and we can get a better left back or even reasonable cover the back line takes care of its self.

And not many picked lascelles the club captain
