The Highlanders were a bit shell - shocked with the Dobmeisters 2 goals in the opening minutes but stuck to the task and actually looked a decent team bringing it back to 2 -1. Sir Stephen then passed up the chance for another hat - trick by
laying the ball on a plate for Dykes to score from very close range. All in all although 3 - 1 up the game was a bit flat and with less than 900 home fans in attendance there was little atmosphere. The second half was better and but for Dykes with a missed tap - in and Dobbie wildly shooting over the bar the score could have been more. Queens also hit the woodwork twice. The 4th goal was a thing of beauty though Mercer cutting in from the right and thundering a great
strike home. Partick Whistle will be a tougher opponent I would expect but Formantine deserved the applause they
received from the home fans in the main stand at the end of the game.

12/01/2008 QOS 4 v 0 Linlithgow Rose. Somewhat similar to yesterday's result. Two games later Ryan McCann 84 yards against Dundee albeit at Palmerston rather than away. An omen?

I dont know if other area's are as bad as I have only ever lived in this town. Bookmakers only ever thrive in poor area's as ordinary folk chase the never ,never or never ever if you like . Look how many we have on the High Street hoovering up money that those involved can barely afford to lose. Most of the factories dissapeared , losing hundreds of decent paid jobs and this place is hurting.
Out of interest, what’s the club’s pricing policy for people who are in receipt of benefits?

Given the next round draw I expect that this will be Queens' first and last hurrah in this final chance for any cup glory?
No reason why Queens shouldn't fancy their chances in a one off game against our old boss Jim McIntyre's side. Dundee have found points hard to come by but they did get a very good draw on Saturday after being 2-0 down to Hibs.

Dobbie up front on his own with 5 across midfield will probably be the tactic. We've never been daring under Naysmith in big games
