Every time I go to Tannadice I think - this is a must win game.
This is a must win game.
I used to think - we can't sink any lower - can we?
We are on the up!
C'mon United!

Massive game.
A draw wouldn’t be a disaster as we play bottom 3 in next 5 so chance to make it up but a defeat would be disastrous as it’d put Ayr 6 ahead and with County expected to beat Alloa away on Sat, we’d be 4 behind them. Their goal difference also far superior (thanks Csaba). We’re bound to have a blip at some stage so ***** we keep adding points on board.
The word with * is v-i-t-a-l. Not sure why it’s censored.
Massive on Friday.
This is our chance to take Ayr down a peg or two.
If we beat them and catch them then it will kill their momentum.
Friday may even decide things for them like whether they invest or sell shankland
If you are a chairman of smaller club and you are points ahead of rivals then you feel you have to hang on for chance of title. If you made unexpected good start but get dragged back into pack you might be more likely to cash your chips.
Our home match against Ayr where we lost away at Somerset. This is one we should look to win.
Come on United!!!
I agree. They’ve drawn last 2 and after Friday their next 2 are ICT and County so beating them could derail them. Let’s hope so.
The points are important - but its the statement and pressure it brings on Ayr and RC that is key. A good win would mean we are serious title contenders. A draw isnt the end of the world but would give them some confidence.
Simple as this - a win and the pre Neilson damage is finally over turned and its almost like the season begins proper with everyone back on a level footing the following week. Defeat and the hard work over the last few weeks in clawing back the Shabba damage is totally undone.
Failure is not an option.
A win would be great anything else not the end of the world
Obviously we'll need to be much much better than we were against Alloa to have a proper chance at taking the 3 pts
We won't get away with the same slackness against Ayr as we did last week
How good is it that we believe Neilson thinks that too!!
All down to him tactically and the training as well as morale. Short sharp hard training - less injuries more intensity and more recovery time.
Agree play the way we did against Alloa and we will b in trouble.
However dnt think that will b the case. RN will have them well drilled and players will b up for it. Hopefully good crowd to get behind the team, 12th man and all that.
