That would seem to be a very lucky point. A win would've been outrageous, but we always concede in the last few minutes. We will soon rival Old Faithful (Yellowstone Park) in that respect.
As I said earlier the stats tonight are completely staggering... Carlisle had 23 attempts with 7 on target and that's the away team!!! How in god's name have we sunk so far that a home point against an out of form Carlisle a decent result.... Macclesfield with 2 wins on the spin now and that's something we could only dream of... I hope Ardley comes in here and hits the ground running, he will need a Magic wand to transform this bunch into an actual football team.
Played a lot better in the second half, but still nowhere near good enough overall. The first half was diabolical yet again, we were incredibly lucky to go in level.
Hewitt made a couple of great runs and deserved his goal - let’s hope he keeps doing that, because we sure as hell aren’t going to get any forward momentum from Milsom, who looks on his last legs.
Ward and Turley headed a lot of balls away, except for the one they didn’t. Davies improved as the game went on after a horrible start, as did Patching. Jones was invisible apart from one forward run, struggled to cut out crosses. Thomas did some good things, should have scored, but wasted the ball a lot and can’t tackle to save his life (like the loose ball that led to their equaliser).
Worrying that Macclesfield have won, let’s hope we get a new manager bounce against Mansfield. Because otherwise it could be embarrassing.

You know we put double digits past a pub team in pre season? So despite the fact we are a ****e League side, we are above any pub side you care to mention. You can look at all the stats in the world, the only one that matters is the goals stat.
I would have taken a point from tonight. We are missing 4 of our best performers.
At half time I thought we were certain to lose but there was quite an improvement and a bit of spirit shown in the second half. Ardley’s first task is to see whether the players can produce something like that over 95 minutes rather than just part of a match.
