It’s going to be busy by the sound of it. All stalls booked up and Dan was telling me this morning that over 70 kids have already booked up for the training session with the first team.

    ⚪️Sunday’s Xmas Market⚪️

Our Christmas Market event at the Queen of the South Arena on Sunday is shaping up nicely.

The funfair which will have Tea-cups, a roundabout, game stalls and weather dependent an inflatable slide and bungee will take place in the Arena car park with all the other events indoors. Inside there are 40 stalls booked in (including Queens goodies, home made candles, wreaths and home made dog treats!!), Santa will be there in his Grotto and to hand out chocolate, and the first team will be holding a coaching session (so far 70 kids have signed up for this). We also have six kids choirs (with up to 30 kids in each one) onsite to provide a bit of festive music and the Club shop will be open with 10% off. In addition, Fairy Bod Mother have organised obstacle courses and challenges, and for the less energetic there will be turkey rolls and mulled wine too - so lots of stuff happening.

Organiser Dan Armstrong said "Christmas is a special time of the year and as part of the Community, Queens want to enter into the festive spirit. We usually have a Christmas night, but this is our biggest event to date, the interest in it has been superb. We wanted something a wee bit different that will appeal to all ages and with the Dumfries Christmas light switch on happening in the evening, we are hoping that people will make a day of it by coming along to support our event between 12 and 4pm before heading into town for the events taking place on the High Street".

A hugely successful afternoon in the Arena yesterday for the Queens Christmas Day event. Never seen the place so busy. The kids absolutely loved training & meeting all the first team squad who were a credit to the club.
