The FA cup derailed us last year. It's almost a no win.

play the U-23's and the back bench players. Let them play to win but don't sub in any first teamers.

    Gate Receipt Revenue Share:

English FA has installed a good system where both home and away teams for every tie of FA Cup get 45% of gate receipt revenue each. So if a lower league team hit a jackpot and they are drawn against a top premier league side away they make more money from that away game than their entire season (or in some cases several season).

Away teams have a right to 15% of home team's stadium capacity for its supporters and 15% of disabled allocated area seats too.

To satisfy FFP it's all about turnover - and this can be done by selling players, improved gate receipts or earning more in merchandise etc - so a decent Cup run can be crucial for some clubs ............ buying & trading wise too.

yes but has to be done carefully, the guys who have played the least games must be used, backed up by our youth academy products (minus Kalvin as hes started every game, and BPF whos started most of them)

unless we get one of the so called big 6 (arsenal, man city, chelsea, spurs, liverpool, man utd), get any of them 6 and we play our strongest side

............. 3rd round draw on Monday folks and we're ball number 20 - matches played first week in Jan I think.
Well I'm up for a cup run - get the momentum going with a few big Away days........
As a fan I've not been to happy with last few seasons watching our cup matches with weakened sides - about time we put some proper commitment into the competition ........ 'tho a few will differ I'm sure on that veiw I just think it'll help the troops coming back in get into the groove quicker.
    MOT
    Exactly my thoughts to.
