... in an attempt to look forward, if we remain in the EU, what do our Remainer friends think about the fact that in 2020 the UK will lose its right of veto if the EU decides to take a step in a direction with which we do not want?
The truth is no-one knows exactly how things would turn out if no deal happens. A bloke who runs the biggest fruit and veg supplies to the north west said the oranges from spain would be more expensive because initially the pound would suffer, but the chillies from turkey and some foreign stuff from Thailand would be cheaper.
The so called politicians should stop arguing and state facts this is whats an embarrassment and it as been from the beginning. I have always voted labour but they've become pathetic over the last few years since the wrong brother got elected. The conservatives have been as bad but i quite like mrs may she at least seems to care about everyone and as been thrown under a bus by her own party and as for all the other politicians they belong in a school playground pathetic totally pathetic.
I speak to at least 4 households everyday and most people who voted out were just sick of immigrants, hardly any mention about our own laws or business because the common person hasn't got a clue. As 499 posts on here and politicians arguing have proved no-one else as either.
Other EU counties are not happy with the immigration control so that is what should of been sorted a simple ok for holidays but any longer its an application for schooling or work simple. I think lol

Do you mean if we part leave with the deal or fully remain?
... Remain as full member
... not Project Fear - that's a Remoaner take - try the Lisbon Treaty. Stay in, that's what we'll get ... and more ...
The Lisbon treaty. The one where Gordon Brown said, you don't need a vote. The one which saw Ireland bullied.
Oh and the left never wanted it either. Whatever could have been Gordons motives? lol

Suck it and see. People are afraid of change, but human society always adapts to different circumstances.
Btw, the 'right' brother was one of those chumming up with Merkel and Sarkozy to eagerly implement the Lisbon Treaty. At least Corbyn sees the EU for what it is, which is illustrated very well in our Red friend's link.
The only problem i can see are all the rules regulations and laws that need sorting out. Change one and it has a snowball effect its like a bowl of spaghetti good luck to them. But at the end of the day they should all be working together as one not like kids trying to score points its about our country not an election. Oh and it gets dark
... so Gubbie, Mapperley, is that what you want - UK to lose the veto? Simple question - that's what you voted for if you voted Remain. Answer please ...
